Black Republicans

On a Mission to Raise the Value of Black America's Political Capital

Only the Democrats can turn an invincible, once in a political lifetime supermajority into a disadvantage and yet it has happened.
People ask me why I am Republican, we quite simply with the GOP you know what you are getting, sure there are problems, you are dealing with human beings who have individual issues. When the GOP has an agenda everyone unites behind that issue and gets it done. The Democrats, you have some trying to push a liberal agenda (hello Dems, the country is center-right!), others who are conservative Democrats who’s entire purpose is holding onto their cushy jobs by getting re-elected. The Democrats cannot stay united to get anything done so why should we trust them with our futures?
This group, liberal and conservative will lose their majority in about 14 months despite their constant pandering.
As African-Americans, we are much better off standing behind the principals of conservatism to uplift ourselves, not rely on government programs, which sound good on the surface, but are merely traps to keep you dependent on the “system”.
Most liberal African-Americans cannot understand how/why we are Republicans; the prevailing thought is that the GOP is a party of mean, southern racists and rich white people. On the contrary, there are many different types of people and points-of-views in this country. Most people will believe all black people are criminals, drug dealers and baby-mommas, we do not spotlight black business owners, the thousands of back college graduates each year, the strong family units, etc. Just as the news media do not spotlight black conservatives of which there are many.

I do believe the Tea Party shook up the status quo in the GOP. However, I do not believe merely waiving an American flag and holding a copy of the constitution will solve the complex problems of today i.e. an out
of control financial system, globalization and a broken educational system. But
I do like the fact that they used their leverage to pick their own candidates
not just the typical career politicians the parties put in front of us to vote
on.

They also brought to light accountability in Congress; the 535 representatives can no longer ‘hide’ their votes or play it safe to keep getting elected.

What do you think of the stupid Tea Party now...
