Permalink Reply by Deadra Marsh-Foy on May 31, 2011 at 11:35am OK...so since I've read the reply...I'm trying to figure out why the "far left" and Obama would want to tweak the numbers?
From what little I've read so far...the Tennessee Tea Party wants to omitted from the history books the fact that our most courageous founding fathers owned slaves and the Tennessee Tea Party wants the whole ugly instance of slavery removed from history books:
http://newsone.com/nation/casey-gane-mccalla/tenn-tea-party-wants-s...
Since I don't immediately see the Tennessee Tea Party's reasoning or rationale here...I started a Google search to understand the differences between the GOP and the "Tea Party base."
I read one commentator explain the difference is..."Tea Party supporters say what is on their mind."
This is really concerning. Can we really just say what is on our minds without being "politically correct/responsible"? I know that may sound "liberal" but there are things to consider...
Please help me out here...
Permalink Reply by Joseph Lupoli on June 4, 2011 at 9:51am First of all, employing personal responsibility and accountability is not the mindset of liberal ideology. And secondly, the far left has a great motive for altering history text books. For example: History textbooks never mention that less than 3% of southern whites actually owned slaves. It's the same reason the liberal media under-reports/minimizes/omits interracial assaults/murders--just as the DOJ/FBI skews/omits interracial crime statistics. For example: The FBI and the DOJ actually count Hispanic perpetrators of interracial crime, as "white", while turning Hispanic victims of interracial crime back into Hispanics. So according to the DOJ, Hispanics never commit interracial crimes.
The reason is simple: Votes. If the media actually reported interracial assaults/murders, liberal and/or independent voters would see that a mere 6% of the US. population (black males) commit over 90% of all interracial assaults/murders.
They would also know that the AG, Eric Holder, has no interest in protecting straight white males under the hate crime laws. All of this would of course, equate to fewer Democratic votes. And fewer Democratic votes would jeopardize, and possibly eliminate the government's control over their voting-base: liberals who receive free government assistance (welfare, Affirmative Action, food stamps, Section 8 housing, Pell Grants, illegal alien amnesty, etc) in return for their Democratic votes.
I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your reply. Your statistics are very worthy.
However, to know me is to know I'm more interested in what we can do to make things right (or at least better). I am so over trying to focus on what the other side is doing wrong.
I joined this group to better understand and maybe be a part of something that actually attempts to empower our community....but instead I keep getting discussions on what the liberals are doing wrong.
I really need to read more on what we as Black Republicans plan to do to help the situation.
Thanks group.

Again I thank Joseph for his input...especially when no one else would reply.
NewOne did an article here:

I think I will follow-up with them to get better details on where their source material is coming from.
Take care.

Permalink Reply by jack thomas on October 27, 2011 at 11:10am The tea party is racist so let's stop the charade of making them look like they are "patriots" that care about Black people..The original tea party consisted of a group that questioned the government version of 911..When Barack Obama was elected this group was hijacked by the republican party who turned the focus away from 911 and the abuse by the Bush administration to attacking President Obama.. Remember the tea party rallies were also use by white hate groups as a recruiting place..Therefore since we are dealing with a racist group what makes any of us think that the tea party group in Tennessee not want to "soften" the truth about slavery and the fouding fathers..??..Texas has already passed a bill that limits the historical facts of the civil rights movement and slavery while introducing more information about people like Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee....
http://chronicle.com/article/Texas-Board-Approves/65661/
What is really appalling is the fact that high profile Black republicans are silent about this issue..It is no wonder that Black republicans get little or no respect in the Black community..As a Black republican I am actually ashamed of some of our actions ( lying about MLK being a republican...etc,,,) and inactions....

Yesterday we received the final brief from Obama's attorneys on the lawsuit we filed against Obama and the Democratic Party for racism Case No C-11-1503 MJP. And it is hard to believe that in 2011, there is a political party that believes so strongly in the racist practices of Jim Crow and slavery, that they will hire one of the most prestigious law firms in the country to defend those practices rather than to simply apologize. In several of our briefs we provided facts showing that Democrats and their leaders:
Literally cut blacks up in pieces
Burned them alive
Beat them to death
Burn down black communities
Bombed black churches
Lynched thousands of blacks
Proudly endorsed the institution of slavery to enslave millions of blacks
Called Republicans “Nigger Lovers”
Call the original Republican Party “Black Republicans”
Killed blacks outside the voting booth who voted Republican
Killed white teachers who taught black students
Burned down black schools
Proudly called themselves “the Party of White Supremacy"
Stacked the United Supreme Court with Pro-slavery and racist judges
Sponsored racist legislation from Jim Crow Laws to Black Codes and Fugitive Slave Laws
Supported Judge John Ferguson in the case of “Plessy v Ferguson” & opposed Brown v. Board of Education
Praised the Dred Scott Decision that classified blacks as “property”
Fought the integration of Public Schools
Forced blacks to sit in the back of the bus and in the balcony of movie theatres
Killed little black girls in their Sunday School classes
Hung blacks without a trial
Decapitated blacks and formed terrorist organization like the Ku Klux Klan
Denied blacks employment
Force them to go to the backs of resturants to be served
Made all types of racist statements including the following by Lyndon Johnson
“These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they got something now that they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now wee got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down and not enough to make a difference. For if ewe don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way to stopping them, we will lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again....”
After all of this, they have the audacity ask blacks for their vote, then they hire the most powerful attorneys in the country so they will never have to apologize to African Americans and the whites that support African Americans. Never before in the history of the world has any group ever done this. Germany apologized to Jews, Congress apologized to Japanese, and South Africa apologized, but the Democratic Party feel that is was their right to treat blacks as they did and that blacks do not deserve an apology. This is why I am spending every dime I have - to finance and sponsor this lawsuit. They have to be insane! This precisely why their name ends with "rats." -- Past this one to everyone on your e-mail list and facebook.

Permalink Reply by jack thomas on March 8, 2012 at 5:36pm Tell you what....let's go back in time and arrest those evil white democrats...and while we look for this time machine let's ignore the racism of RIGHT NOW by the GOP..In fact , racism for the last 60 years...Here's what Dr king said about them...
Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote in his autobiography:
"The Republican Party geared its appeal and program to racism, reaction, and extremism."
That was his description of the 1964 Republican National Convention. He also referred to the Republican convention as "the frenzied wedding at the Cow Palace of the KKK with the radical right."
Trying to change textbooks to make slavery look like a "work release" program is something that should concern us...Let's deal with the racism of today...why is that so hard...??
