RNC’s minority outreach plan: more of the same

Is the Republican National Committee just “stupid” as Gov. Bobby Jindhal (R-LA) implied last week, or just hell bent on business as usual, ignoring the minority vote til’ the next century? Either way, the same people who insisted Mitt Romney be anointed the GOP 2012 presidential nominee are the same people now in charge of the party’s image makeover and recruiting voters of “color” to the party: Yes, middle aged and old white men. And all signs point to the fact that we’re heading for the same underperforming results unless we change directions fast.

Nearly three months after the election, what we see coming from the RNC is lip service to minority outreach. A Republican source who is familiar with the committee’s inner workings told me there are still no blacks working at the RNC other than in administrative positions and only one Hispanic person working the RNC political department.

What can we do as a group to get this issue addressed? We need true representation in the RNC and not from the RNC. I totally agree that the time is now while we are moving towards mid-term elections.

Are you suggesting that your beloved GOP is STILL treating Black folks like second class citizens....So then Colin Powell was right ...and the facts that I posted were right..Face it , the GOP has a problem with minorities and until that changes they are not going to win many elections ...unless of course they try to steal then again...Just hope and pray that the minority vote does not have a big turnout for the midterms...if so ...more GOP house and senate seats are going to be lost..But like I said I'm a fair man and I'll tell you exactly what a group of Black conservatives can do....BE HONEST WITH BLACK PEOPLE ABOUT THE GOP....There is a reason why Colin Powell has respect in the Black community and Allen West does not...Think about it "critically"...and most of all honestly.....good luck

note"...As an Independent voter that has no respect for the racist GOP I probably shouldn't be telling you this...BUT,,do not wait for the RNC to appoint any Black people to their minority outreach program....Mobilize outside of those bigots and state your case "HONESTLY"  to Black people...But be prepared to answer some tough questions and be honest and direct with your answers...if not most Black people will laugh in your face and vote for the other party....

Fellow Republicans, view this as a Golden Opportunity to show what a Black Republican is and not rely on members of our party or any party to set the definition. It is time to shut down the propaganda flowing into the minds of the weak and accepted as truth. Midterm elections is when you will find more synergy between Republicans and Democrats. For example, Gun Control and the 2nd Amendment Debates. President Obama doesn't have the wide spread support on this issue from his own party because Democrats know that this is when most voters vote per issue. For those of you not familiar with President Clinton's second term; the Gun Control issue sent many of his fellow Democrats back to their home states looking for new jobs. Now, thanks to the Distinguish Gentlemen from Nevada (Harry Reid), Doctors can't be deputized (as ordered by Executive Order) to assist the left in banning guns or tossing out the 2nd Amendment.

We have time to get out the message of the Black Republican and reasons why ALL blacks are not the same. Talking heads from other parties cannot define us and should not define us but they will as long as we are silent. There are those that navigate this site due to their own fears and insecurities of Black Republicans so we are relevant and thankful for their thirst for knowledge. However, recognize them as a speed bump and simply drive over them and continue defining yourself until the RNC, DNC and others recognize the true power of the vote. Also as speed bumps, you need not stop to acknowledge its there.

I think we should create a PAC of some sort and start funding some organsations based on our principles. Go into the community and support or if need be 'create' organsations that empower people. We also need a think tank (from a center-right perspective focued on urban/rural poverty and minorities.

The GOP already kknows the true power of the vote...thats why they have been trying to suppress it in the Black community...Remember they also admitted this so you can save your usual "above and beyond the call of a knee-grow" defense of racism for another issue...
