The prayer I spoke at the opening of Team 12 headquarters in Cincinnati, OH 5/24/12

To our most gracious and everlasting God and Father,
We give you thanks for allowing us the privilege of being here today. We have come here to embark on a journey to exercise our rights and responsibilities as citizens of this great nation.
We thank you for allowing us to be stewards over this great experiment which we refer to as a democratic republic. We understand that this burden that you have bestowed upon us is a great one, and to whom much is given, much is required. Let us be ever mindful that this effort is not about personal gain or individual accomplishment, but it is about advancing our community, the elevation of our state, and the amelioration of our nation.
Let our conduct be a reflection of our conviction. Let our tongues speak our convictions with boldness, yet tempered with respect for our fellow man. Let our labor be guided by love and compassion for our neighbor. Let us act not as respecter of persons, but with alacrity by virtue of a nobler idea. Finally, keep foremost in our minds that we must not compromise integrity in order to obtain victory.
These things we ask in the name of the Father, your Son Jesus, and the Holy Ghost, Amen.
