Black Republicans

On a Mission to Raise the Value of Black America's Political Capital

What should the GOP do to get more Blacks to join them?

There was a time when Blacks were staunch members of the Republican Party, until the "New Deal" of the 1930s made them weak and dependent on the government to take of them. What do you think should be done to educate liberal Blacks about the GOP?

The value of any organization(s), elected official(s), etc., etc., must be determined by what is does to serve its' membership, how well it not only sets a goal but actually follows through to meet that goal, etc., etc.

With respect to any elected official, it is imperative that he or she uphold the oath of office, the rule the law, the U.S. Constitution, a respective State Constitution when serving his or her constituency.  This is the most important function of any elected office holder, judge on the bench, Supreme Court Justice, etc., etc.  Furthermore every corporate entity, any business owner, any government institution that operates on U.S. soil is also obligated to respect the laws that exist, especially the U.S. Constitution and the penalties for not respecting the law can result in stiff fines, the loss of a business license, civil lawsuit, etc., etc.

For too long our own black leaders, our own black lawyers, far to many of the so called university educated in our own community, and those who vote have not been holding elected officials accountable to his or her oath of office, the Constitution, have not placed value in  this, some have betrayed the black community, etc., etc., and this more than anything else is driving the black community into extinction.  The laws on the book, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, etc., etc., are for real, and the value thereof are made a reality by the people who respect this.  Those who don't respect this can and will be removed from office, pay fines, serve jail time, can be sued for any and all assets possessed, etc., etc.  After all, a heavy price has been paid for the U.S. Constitution, a respective state Constitution, etc., etc., in that the blood of many men and women, U.S. born black men and women being inclusive, has been sacrificed during the American Revolutionary War, the Spanish American War, the U.S. Civil War, WWI, WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, etc., etc.

Best Wishes,

Michael L. Lofton

Well I see that the question still remain.  We are not really doing anything to bring about a change with in our communities. We talk a good game but no action.  here are too many lables f people with different ideas or living in different communities.  For the most part the "REPUBLICANS" that are on this site seems to be of a "CLASS" thinking folks.   We need to stop pointing fingers at people with lables like liberals and conservatives, etc. Please tell me the difference between the two? We are so bent on name dropping or photo opps that we don't have a goal nor an agenda to move our community nor people to the next level. What can we do to get more blacks in the GOP. check the following;

1. be for real

2. set goals

3. stop labeling others

4. Get off the the greater than thou kick

Hello Thomas,

Indeed, by and large Tea Party members, Caucasians, etc., etc.., are not racist.  The left wing, the Democratic Party, our own leadership, etc., etc., circulate falsehoods, promote the race card to mislead the black community, to keep us ignorant, ..........which causes blacks to be his or her own worst enemy.

Although I'm not a Tea Party member, I agree with what these individuals stand for.   U.S. born blacks should have formed a "Tea Party" rebellion years ago, considering the reality that our own black leaders, specifically the Democratic Congressional Black Clueless......AKA Congressional Black Caucus, the Democratic "the Jim/Crow/Black Code Law Enforcement" Party, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence (a Republican in Name Only) Thomas, etc., etc., have been betraying and misleading U.S. born black men and woman.

Being the new guy, I should probably stay out of Ron and Jacks discussion. But being the person I am, I won't LOL I understand what Jack is saying about the GOP. It is a stigma that they have because what they believe. That we should all work hard to better ourselves and they do not have a good way of going about getting that message out without giving the empression to blacks that they are racist. I have been a Conservative Republican for 45 years and have been involved in local campaigning in my home state of Michigan and a little in Tennessee sinse retiring here in 2005. And I have also attended some Tea Party meetings, but have not actually joined. To date, and I know this might shock some people, but I have never heard the first racist remark from anyone at these meetings. The left wing drills this into the black communities heads and a lot of people believe it as the truth. And Jack made a lot of comments about the GOP that I do not agree with without some kind of proof, but that is what is great about our country. We get to voice our opinions without fear of reprisal.

People know Selma, Alabama as a city where Dr. King fought for civil rights. Selma was the launching point for pivotal protests that hurtled the voting rights movement into the national spotlight. It is also a city of tragedy: thousands of students, religious leaders, and families fighting for civil rights in Selma were arrested, injured, or brutally killed.

I grew up in Selma. Now, as a community organizer, I think often about the sacrifices of the people who lived here before me. I was outraged and ashamed to learn that Selma's city council is sitting idly by as a local neo-Confederate group expands a public monument to a founder of the Ku Klux Klan, Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Monuments celebrating violent racism and intolerance have no place in this country, let alone in a city like Selma, where the families of those attacked by the Klan still live.

Nathan Bedford Forrest was a Confederate military leader, a founding member of the KKK, and the first Grand Wizard of the KKK. He wasn't even from Selma -- why should Selma be honoring his shameful legacy of racial segregation and terrorism?

If Selma wants be viewed by the rest of the country as forward-thinking, we cannot give in to those who pine for the "good ole days" of the 1860s. This monument has blighted our town for far too long. Please join me in calling on the Selma city council to remove the monument celebrating Ku Klux Klan founder Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Well jack thomas,

.........or anyone else who brings up the KKK or racist Caucasians as being responsible for wrongful acts targeting law abiding U.S. born blacks

Now that you have stated this, what are your thoughts of blatantly incompetent no good President Barack Obama, Clarence Thomas, multiple members of the Congressional Black Clueless....AKA the Congressional Black Caucus, countless no good jackleg black preachers and/or other blacks in positions of influence who are doing more harm to U.S. born black men, women, and/or his or her siblings than any KKK member, the Aryan Nation, etc., etc.

That is why Romney is running. he is nothing but a photo negative clone of Obama - is not a nickle's difference between them except that Romney is not Obama.  And I strongly suspect that alone will get him elected.   But you and your ilk are not intelligent enough to see the message in that. Obviously. Were you not responsible for that, I would pity you." by NotBoma

...U.S. born blacks are not the sole group of individuals who helped to put blatantly inept un-American President Barack "the Magic Negr@ and Food Stamp President and Dream Act Promoting" Obama in office in 2008.

Caucasians and/or other ethnic groups who voted for BO over John McCain are now experiencing the wrath of what typically occurs in a Detroit, Compton, Inglewood, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Chicago, Baltimore, etc., etc.,......

.......jurisdictions to where black elected officials hold office, but who at the same time have contempt for the rights of law abiding U.S. citizens and legal immigrants, contempt for the U.S. Constitution, contempt for the rule of law, and/or disgrace the meaning of what it is to be an elected official.

....it is beyond being an idiot as to why so many U.S. born black men or women continue to support, have praise for, salute, or will vote for Barack Obama.....when BO has proven to be a disgrace to the office, time and time again.
