More facts about your beloved tea party ...

The American Third Position is trying to get one of their guys on the ballot for Governor in West Virginia, but so far he hasn’t yet appeared on the Secretary of State’s website despite claiming to have submitted enough signatures.

One thing especially dangerous about those guys is their ability to come up with innocuous-sounding names for their groups (“American Third Position” and “California Grassroots Alliance”), names which by themselves give no indication to the average voter what their actual racist policies are. This is something they share in common with the Council of Conservative Citizens (whose innocuous name duped several mainstream conservatives, including Bob Barr, into speaking at tea party rallies without realizing that it was a racist group).

----------------------

A local Republican Party official in Arizona resigned his position this week after the attempted assassination of Democratic congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, citing the threat of violence from Tea Party members in his area.

Anthony Miller, who was hailed as a rising star in state Republican circles as one of the party’s few black leaders, was reelected last month to a second term as chairman of the Arizona Legislative District 20 of the Republican Party. District 20 is a heavily Republican area in the southwest suburbs of Phoenix, including Ahwatukee Foothills and parts of Chandler and Tempe.

In an e-mail to the state Republican Party chairman, Randy Pullen, sent shortly after the shooting of Giffords, Miller wrote that his wife had asked him “do I think that my PCs [precinct committee members] will shoot at our home? So with this being said I am stepping down.”

Miller told the Arizona Republic newspaper that local Tea Party members had made verbal and online attacks on him since he first was elected to the local party leadership.

“I wasn’t going to resign but decided to quit after what happened Saturday,” Miller told the Republic. “I love the Republican Party but I don’t want to take a bullet for anyone.”

---------------------------

I stumbled across my evidence through an e-mail alert I received for tea party “meet-ups” near where I live. When I noticed a tea party meet-up in south Orange County [Calif.] being held at a church, I couldn’t resist taking a closer look. Five clicks later I was enthralled by a document that I found both horrifying and revealing. The document was titled

“The Non-Ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment” and written by A.H. Ellett, a retired Utah Supreme Court justice. Ironically, the tea party movement generally “supports with worshipful intensity the constitution of the United States,” according to historian Mark Lilla, but when its followers say “Constitution” they don’t mean the same U.S. Constitution that you and I mean. The recent issue for the tea party has been the repeal of the 14th Amendment. But repeal is just one small step compared to the giant leap that Justice Ellett makes in claiming that the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments (the so-called Reconstruction Amendments) were never legally (i.e. constitutionally) ratified in the first place. When the tea party folk say that they want their country back, I’m starting to understand just how far back they want it—back before the Civil War!

So, what does this have to do with the tea party movement? One of the main thrusts of tea party groups across the country is to teach their “patriots” the truth about the Constitution of the United States. At this particular meet-up of the “South Orange County 912 - Tea Party Group” at the church, they were advertising No. 3 of 12 of the “Institute on the Constitution.”

Rev Madison Shockley

----------------------

Jean Howard-Hill, a moderate Republican who leads the National Republican African American Caucus, wrote that she is "not sure what's in the cup of tea."

"Any movement which cannot openly denounce racism, calling it out as wrong troubles me," she wrote. "To attack President Obama on his policy is one thing, but to do so on his race or some hysterical pretext of socialism is yet another."

Brandon Brice York. The 27-year-old African American, who calls himself a hip-hop Republican, about the tea party

"It's strayed away from the message of wasteful spending and Washington not listening to its constituents, and it's become more of this rally of hate," he said. "The tea party leaders should apologize on behalf of the irresponsible comments that were made, but they should also stand very firm on where we stood and where they stood in 2009."

Lenny McAllister, a Republican commentator and author, said he has seen racism within the tea party and has confronted it -- approaching people with racially derogatory signs of President Obama and asking them to take the signs down. Like Brice, he said leaders of the movement must not ignore the issue.

Gerri and Thomas,

I am certain that Thomas is a raving liberal, Democrat love affair type dude.  Though anecdoctal, I track and arrest our current Neo-Nazi, KKK groups here in Los Angeles.  These racist pigs profess their commitment to liberalism, criminality, and a long history in the Democratic Party.  Most love the reference to the Dixiecrat Party of the 1950's [a far left, racist fringe of the Democratic Party].  Thomas, you gotta grow up and wake up.  I consider myself a Black Tea Conservative, knowing that the Tea Party stands for things that could strengthen the Black community; conservatism, honor, patriotism, self-reliance, and faith.  I've been to rallies and, contrary to the mess spat by liberals, the rallies were NOT racist, anti-minority, or mean spirited.  Now Thomas, your diatribes are all of that...racist, anti-us, and mean spirited.

Ronald Reagan was a great president; moving the nation and the Black community towards self-reliance and prosperity.  Even the images of Black America were more positive during the 1980's; the Huxtables, School Daze, Malcolm X [1990's], etc.  It's the liberal graveyard mentality that has created the Black hip hop, mesogynous under world.  Reagan may not have been the sole reason for Black prosperity in the 1980's and Bill Cosby certainly could not single handedly redeem our personal values, but the Democratic Party plan sure is the gold, entitlement road to hell.

In my profession I have seen more than 450 dead Black boys/men, several generations of addicted Black women, and a lost generation of Black kids.  Though the Willie Lynch Letter may have been a fiction created in the 1970's, the sentiment is accurate and pointed.  Slavery, detachment from our cultural roots, Jim Crow legislations, Dixiecrats and KKK legislators, and BLACK LIBERAL IGNORANCE has crippled our communities growth.  We were taken from our homeland several hundred years ago, stripped from our culture and traditions, subjected to oppressive legislation until the 1968 Civil Rights Act, and left to fend for ourselves for 40 years.  Here are some simple truths.

1. There are two indigenous cultures in the United States.  American Indians by choice and Black American by design.  All we know is the country we live in so its time to quit whining like a 6 year old school girl and man-up.  This is our country.

2. We have only been free of all racial legislation or oppressive pattern of conduct for 40 years, therefore we have to know that we are a new culture.  Black America is still finding its way therefore we need to be patient with us.  Fortunately for Black America there is a substantial portion of our population that is thriving, well educated, and faithful to the family.  Unfortunately we have the non-thrivers that think lowly and act accordingly.  Thomas, consider your thought process and man-up.

3. President Obama is the most powerful human being on the planet.  WE NO LONGER HAVE THE RIGHT TO WHINE ABOUT THE PAST BECAUSE WE ARE PRESUMED TO BE ON THE MOUNTAIN TOP.  President Obama is a sign post that we better read, "Black people, we have given you all the reparations you will get.  America is cutting you so handle your business."  Know this!  That sign post cannot be read while driving at a 55mph on the freeway.  Black America better stop our ghetto bus of entitlement, driving haphazardly toward our next point march, get out, and READ THE SIGNS.

I love Black America because I am Black America.  I'm not a sell out or a Sambo.  I love Thomas because I will call him my brotha in the struggle to right the Black community.  So I say this in love: Only Conservatism will save Black America.  Therefore i walk my own path, having escaped the Ghetto Bus many years ago.

Bless you both,

Grant

What are you talking about..??...Reagan support Apartheid...Reagn supported housing discrimination...Reagan was FORCED to sign the MLK holiday bill...Reagan cut off training and education programs that helped Black workers...Reagan was a racist...what part of THAT FACT do you not understand..??..By the way , have you researched the whole stroy behind the shooting of Reagan..??...Do you really think that democrats had something to do with it and if so why did the shooter get off so easy..???...There are those that say that Bush was behind the whole thing...I'm not sure nor do I really care but to view democrats as the party of hatred when you have white hate groups recruiting at tea party rallies tells me that you are either very stupid or very brainwashed...Tell me what hatred has the democratics shown in the last 60 years...???..Not to say that there isn't any because democrats are not free from racial hatred but you seem to think that present day GOP hatred toward Black peoplle does not exist...NOTHING COIULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH....Why can't you face the facts and deal with the truth....???...And what lies are you talking about....???..I would like to see a list because I would really like to know...

Also your point about democrats being closer to loving Hitler is amusing at best...especially when you factor in the FACT that the Bush family had ties to Hitler and supported the nazis..AND the nazi party and the KKK both endores the GOP....Like I said before I merely state facts so the next time you parrot the republican line make sure you are not making a fool of yourslef...sorry if that offends you but the truth is the truth...

No Robert.  No mortal sinner, as am I; Ronald Reagan, and yes, even you; can ever come close to being worthy to be compared to Jesus.  It is just that I am not afraid of the truth.  And because I am not a corner-church goer, I hold myself responsible for studying the scriptures.  And my Bible says for me to give credit to whom credit is due.  I actually have no problem with recognizing a good deed in another human being even if that individual happens to be a white, Republican.

You see, I honestly have learned to love people rather than hate them no matter what they look like on the outside.  And believe me, I have not always thought good things about Ronald Reagan.  In fact, at one time, I might have hated him.  You see, when Ronald Reagan was in office, I was a Democrat; a black one at that who had been taught that Republicans; especially the redneck, white ones are evil racists who hate black people, and that they are the ones working overtime to hold black people down.  Back then, there were few people that believed those lies about Reagan and the Republicans as did I.

In fact, I have since had to repent to God, and to the spirit of the Reagan types for all that hatred I held within.  You see, I remember saying something within that was very evil when an assassination was attempted upon President Reagan's life.  You see; when President Reagan was almost assassinated, I was filled with enough lies and hatred about Republicans to say to myself; "Good for him; he deserve it!"

Thank God I have grown out of that wicked frame of mind.  I have learned to love people rather than hate them.  I have learned not to just believe every lie as told by the Democrat Party and their media; especially about the Republican Party.

I am more cauction because, I now understand the Democrats may come closer to loving Hitler than they will a Republican.  I now understand where all that Democrat hatred for Republicans come.   As I see it, they might have never gotten over the fact that black people or slaves became smart enough to create their own Party.

The Democrats know as well as I know that the Republican Party was orignally known by Democrats as the "Black Party."  Perhaps Democrats feel they have to forever encourage black people to hate the Republican Party for fear that black Americans may somehow re-discover their political roots; their political heritage.

Perhaps, Democrats feel they simply cannot afford to lose black people from the voting senario.  Perhaps they are afraid if black people begin to face facts about their political heritage, few Democrats may ever win another election.  Perhaps this is why they are so eager to give Illegal Immigrants a path to citizenship so that they might secure voters for the Democratic Party in case their black voters eventually wake up.  So for now, the lies continue . . .

Nice attempt at a white flag but as usual you fail to dispute the facts I posted so let's not "drop" the truth and change the subject which is the racism that is going on right now and for the last 50-60 years...I'll take your continued absence of logic as a cowardly way of saying you have nothing to back up what you say...That's cool because facts usually work that way..One thing that we cannot do is allow racism to run rampant in our community..We must BE HONEST about who is causing it and who is defending it..There is a reason why Black conservatives have no respect or voice in the Black community...can you name the reason...Your problem is that you cannot be honest with the truth...That's why you never back up the things you say...That's very sad...Because the problems that face our community cannot be solved if we are not honest about the the causes and the effects...Reagan was bad for the black community..Sure a few Blacks made money but what about the rest of the community..???..Is the "image" from a TV show the best thing we can draw from the Reagan years...?? And is the racism that we see everyday hurled at the president something that should be ignored..??who benefits from that..??..Like him or not Obama has done a decent job especially when you take into account the total disrespect and hatred from the GOP...Their mission was to bring down this Brother..not to solve problems , not to help their country but to not give the president any victories..This is a known fact so why don't you and some other Black conservatives admit this..??..I have never seen a party so bent on destroying a president at the expense of the country....So when you "side-step" the facts and asked these questions ...first you have to come to the solution with an honest mind....Can you do that..???..so far  you have not shown that...

Thomas,

I took a statistics course on college and the first book we were required to read was, "How to Lie With Statistics".  It was an expose' about how to slant an argument based upon stats.  This is true for any other philosophy.  We have to have original, constructive thoughts.  Though you're obviously well read you seem incapable of an original, constructive thought.  You're an intelligent man who has made intellectualism your master; don't do that!

The primary questions we, together, need to answer is, "How are we going to strengthen the Black community?  How are we going to save the Black family?  Where will our next leaders come from?"  Anything else is a waste of time and breathe.

Peace and Blessings,

Grant

I would also like you to explain what is so great about a president that supports Apartheid , supports housing discrimination , tries to stop the MLK holiday , invades a Black nation for no reason , creates more homeless people then any other president , and quadrupled the deficit...Is that your definition of greatness..???

Thomas,

Because I respect your dissent and the other people in this room, I'll ignore the 'coward' comment and stick to your question about President Obama.  He is part of Black America and deserves my respect and admiration as a man and my President. I have the right, neveretheless, and the responsibility to judge his policies for myself and ask the basic question, "Do I agree with him."  Thomas, the answer is a resounding, NO. Here are the facts as I see them:

1. The economy is stagnant because of over taxation and repressive regulation.  This is a liberal theme and he embodies it.  The President has directly hampered economic grow by not taking affirmative steps to lower gas production against higher gas prices, bail outs, and high unemployment [25% in the Black young adult population].

2. Black America suffers as a result of the Victim Mentality necessary to perpetuate our entitlement systems.  Welfare and entitlements are traps for fools; and we as a culture are being foolish.

3. Policies like Obamacare will hurt Black America sooner than any other culture because we have a higher unemployment rate than any other culture...ergo we will necessarily be taxed and fined first when we are found not to have an insurance policy.

4. Black America does not today, nor has it ever, nor will it ever want more government in our lives.  More than 400 years of oppressive laws and patterns of social conduct have been imposed upon Black America.  We want freedom now more than ever before in American history.  Therefore, it is bad for any unnecessary intervention by the government in our trade or business practices.

5. We may be detached from the African cultures by times, but we have a familiarity through descendency and look.  Most African cultures call Black Americans and Europeans, "White Blacks" [loose translation].  The most important things [fact] to remember is that virtually EVERY African culture would rather deal with Black Americans than any other part of America.  Therefore we need to not squander a not golden opportunity in the Black community.  It was a GOP administration that first stepped into Africa and President Obama's major Exportation emphasis that has opened our door to Africa.  Though the far left lunatics would put pressure upon on the President to slow or stop exportation efforts, we need to be more active.

6. Images count.  Black America is depicted poor, particularly our Black men.  Most of us are NOT some thugged-out street urchin referring to ourselves as pimps, players, hustlers, big ballers, shot-callers, etc.  We need to describe YOU and ME as we are; intelligent, responsible Black Men.

7. We are a culture firmly entrenched in faith.  Our lives need faith and our commuities are better because of it.

Black America needs to wake up and stop following the Pied Piper of Illinois into the river.  President Obama is a milestone for the Black community, but he is not the right one to lead us anywhere.

Peace and Hair Grease,

Grant

Jack, your truth simply differs from the information set forth in the posted article.  Have you considered your information sources?  If the Republican Party is the party of racism and hatred, could it be that it is because there are too many descendants of slaves or today's black Americans; the all loving people; will have nothing to do with their own original Party?  Could it be there are too few black people in today's Republican Party to share that love that is supposed to be missing in the Republican Party?  How sad that might be that a majority of today's black people have completely left the Party of their fore-fathers.

Jack, only liars will try to change history!  As sad as it all is; many of today's black Americans basically operate from the lies as told by the Democrat Party.  The facts remain; the old slaves; our fore-fathers bled and died that we might have the rights we enjoy today.  The people that beat and killed them were White Democrats. You might look up Democrat, Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Al Gore, Jr.'s dad, Albert Gore, Sr. was documented to be one of the main Senators that filibustered the Civil Rights Act; trying to block black people from re-gaining their civil rights.  These were rights black people had already or once gained before the Democrats created the Jim Crow, Segregation Laws.

Had it not been for Democrats creating the Jim Crow, Segregation Laws, essentially taking away the rights black people had gained in the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, there might have been no need for Martin Luther King, Jr. to march and eventually die in the 1960's.  You might look up Democrat, "Bull" Connor.

Robert,

What a brilliant form of expression.  May God bless you for bearing and attempting to share truth with us; the very thing I feel Americans are so sorely missing.  I like your following statement: Ronald Reagan was a great president; moving the nation and the Black community towards self-reliance and prosperity.

If you don't mind, I just don't like to be Gerri.  I simply do not like cutting my name short.

Listen I call it like I see it and when someone acts like a coward I do not mince my words in order to protect their feelings..If you are man emough to suggest that somebody should wake up then you should be man enough to be called a coward when you act like one...In other words get over it and stop whining...

What is also interesting is that the one question that you choose to answer results in an attack of the president and not an explanation of the racsim in the GOP...COWARDS do that...And since you can't admit the failings if the GOP I have to respond to you as a man responds to a coward....Now as a MAN I will answer your questions about Obama ...I have no problem being honest and fair about anybody.... unlike youself who think the suns rises and sets on white republicans...Now to your point...

1)...First of all if you're going to make a point do NOT parrot the same lies that are included in your "orders"...You complain about regulations...what regulations..??..You complain about taxes....The president has lowered taxes...Lower taxes was a big part of the stimulus bill

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/feb/07/bara...

All forms of energy production have increased under President Obama....even if he had little to do with it  ...the FACT remains that you like the GOP are lying about this...Don't you research these things before you speak...??

http://www1.whdh.com/news/articles/politics/12006622737144/fact-che...

And are you complaining about the auto bailout which saved the auto industry or the bank bailout which Bush signed..??..Like I said research this stuff first...Now the unemployment rate is a real problem especially in the Black community but the question is why is unemployment higher in the Black community..??..Is it because Obama is in office..?? No because Black unemployment has ALWAYS been higher..Maybe racism and education has something to do with it...AND..when Obama took off took office the country was losing over 700,000 jobs per month now the country is adding jobs so the economy is getting better...Too slow for my tastes but better then it was before the president took office

2) , The Black community suffers from racism and from those who defend racism...Now let's look at the two parties in relation to the Black community...The GOP has done nothing in the Black community...Nothing...And if an act of racism happens what Black conservative can a Black person call for help..??..AND remember the jobs fair by the CBC..?? Allen West sent his own brother to the event because he knew the GOP was not about to do anything on the job front...The Black community needs to unite and stop thinking that they are all on welfare and food stamps,,,Because MOST Black people ( 80-90%)work for a living and most Black people are not in prison and most Black people are PROUD to be Black...We have our problems but to ignore racism as one of the causes is stupid at best..We have to work together and be HONEST about the cause of our condition....can you do that..??...Time for some positive messages instead of the doom and gloom that republicans tell us...

3). Obamacare is tricky because on one hand it is a step in the right direction however the mandate which is a republican idea can be troubling..But there are some advantages to Obamacare but for my money I would have like to see a Public Option in the health care bill...You must remember that the Health insurance industry does not want any type of reform and they paid close to ONE BILLION dollars to lobby congress against the Public Option....So say what you want about Obamacare ..He is the only preisdent to gtet this far...There is more work to do I will admit that...But it a step in the right direction...There is a book titled "Deadly Spin"...Check it out ...also here are some varied opinioins on health care...

http://thehealthcareblog.com/blog/tag/individual-mandate/

4 ).  Not sure where you're going with this ...sounds like a tea party talking point withnout backup so you might want to explain this better because now is sounds like nonsense..Like I said before...what regulations and what government intervention...Now this is the difference between you and I..There are some things that concern me about the president .I think the connection to Monsanto is scary...Do you know about that..??.The president really dropped the ball oin that one...Do you have any examples to back up you point..??..By the way Mccain and Pailn would have been much worse as far government intervention..One peek at the topic concerning women's rights and privacies prove that...

5 ). What GOP administration are you talking about...The Reagan administration that supported Apartheid and called South Africa our "allies"...??...Black people have been dealing with Africa for decades...remember Marcus Garvey..?? ..Rememebr Leon Sullivan ..??..Remember Byard Ruskin..??..Have you heard of Ashara Kwesi or Dr Ben..??And have you ever been to Africa...do you know anything about Africa History..??..What exactly are you whining about here.,..??...

I'm sorry but you are not making any sense here...Im\ posted a number of facts...CAN YOU DISPUTE THEM...???...And please stop whining about what happened 100 years ago...Until we find a time machinme there is nothing we can do about it...What we CAN do is deal with the racism that is happening TODAY...Can you understand that..??...By the way both Southern Democrats AND Southern Republicans created Jim Crow laws and voted against the civil rights act including George HW Bush....The vote was actually a regional vote with most of the south voting against the bill...Here is a breakdown of the vote...

The Senate version: Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5%–95%) Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0%–100%) Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%–2%) Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%–16%)

  • The House version:

Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7%–93%) Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0%–100%) Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%–6%) Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%–15%)

As you can see ..the south didn't want the civil rights act passed at all and NONE of the republicans in the south voted for it...Now if you look at the percentage of votes in the democratic party from northern states ...The percentage was 98 - 94%...while the republican vote was 84-85%....Therefore most of the racism came from the "south" in both parties...Now when Nixon brought the southern strategy...the racist democrats went to the GOP...where they found a home..ala David Duke...Funny what a little honest homework can do...

That's funny  ...you can't dispute anything I've posted...Is it because you are too much of a coward or are you too ashamed of the truth...what the hell...pick one...

What's wrong super knee-grow...can't deal with the truth..Tell you what when you are able to grow up and be man enough to handle facts about the things you support then maybe you will gain some respect in the Black community and stop being a coward..And I know what site this is and I am not ashamed of posting my views here..I am a proud Independent voter and  because of that I have to deal with the facts....not lies or talking points but the facts..I have noticed that the Black community was asking me questions about being a conservative that I had to honestly deal with..Therefore I left the ranks of being a conservative..The racism is too strong , the Blacks leaders on the GOP have no voice and the excuses and defense of racism are shameful...Now I tried to understand your support for certain causes but you have ignored too many facts and you run from the truth..That's your fault not mine , not Obama's , not McCain's , not Reagan's , but yours and yours along...So when you look at the faces of the people in your commuinity make sure you are honest because they will challenge you on that...Good luck.... you're going to need it...

Grant

Geraldine,

I'll leave him to you.  In his own facts he has proved one simple truth: the conservative Republican Party supported the Civil Rights Amendment 290 to 130.  In the 1950's it was the Republicans that presented several version of a Civil Rights Act that was opposed by the Democrats and Dixiecrats; including Senator John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Baines Johnson.  It is ironic that these two are championed as Civil Rights Presidents.

I still think that we need to focus on your original query.  Which party is the true racist party?  The Democrats take a monolithic Black American voting block for granted and fail to provide Black America with any substantive return.  The Republican Party fails to see the utility of the Black American voting block so they ignore our needs and complaints.  Two use car salesmen.  One that takes our money and never gives up the car; the other that simply doesn't invite us into their place of business.  Though I choose the latter, neither has taken up the cause of strengthening Black America.

Ultimately, it is our collective job to bolster us.  In the meantime, I will vote for the most conservative party.  I will vote Republican.

God's Grace upon You and Yours,
