Greeting all, even though there are few of us, especially here in DC, I'm sure in time this will change, even if others don't give up the Dem.

In the wake of the House Subcommittee's vote, along party lines, to retain the restriction on the District of Columbia's use of LOCAL FUNDS for abortion rights (for the record I am anti-abortion), I sought a statement from the DCRC Executive Director, Paul Craney, and the only elected Republican in the District of Columbia Patrick Mara.  Mara is also now a member of DCVote.  I find it disingenuous that the DCRC and Mara, while claiming to support DC voting rights and budget autonomy, do nothing visible and vocal in dealing with the National Republican Party to advance that agenda.  The DCRC should be front-and-center in discussions with House Leadership regarding the rights of DC citizens.  However, they seem to be more interested in bashing local Democrats than actually leading.  Leadership requires speaking truth to power.  Sadly, that seems to be a lesson either unlearned or forgotten.

I attended Carly's campaign announcement today. She was outstanding! I am excited about the VA and NJ wins today and believe Republicans will take control of the House and the Senate in 2010.

Carly launched her campaign today, almost didnt recognize her with the hair (or lack thier of). I didnt know she was recovering from cancer. What did you think about those big wins in VA and NJ? I think both Christie and McDonnell are solid conservatives.

It's really to early to tell because Carly has not really started running yet. She will making a formal announcement soon. I am also one of her campaign leaders in Los Angeles.
