After election thoughts

You would think that I would be celebrating today, after the election. Instead, I am “bone tired”. I worked at the polls, encountering all kinds of people. People who wanted to help you out by rushing the process and pulling ballots from the wrong stack; people who were first time voters and who had LOTS of questions; people who rushed to get to the polling place and were UPSET after being told that they were not registered or were at the wrong location. BUT for the most part, people were…See More

Winning in November-Sharing thoughts on election

The upcoming election will depend on the responsible use of words, and I recognize the power of effective and persuasive communication. I also believe that Republicans should spend time knowing ourselves and OUR values and then make the clear choice to vote VALUES and PRINCIPLES above party. And very importantly, we must publicly express this viewpoint to others. By doing that we will influence the Republican party for the better (from the inside OUT); helping to vote OUT irresponsible…See More

Recent charges of racism in the ranks of the Tea Party and the Republican Party are not new but have escalated since 2008. And it is not to prove or disprove whether these statements are true. In many ways, I am sure that as in ALL American movements some racists may be associated with the Tea Party movement. That is what is sad about our nation right now. The question is whether it is an intent of the Tea Party to be racist or to agree with racist practices. If so, it should be condemned, just…See More

Hello,

I checked out the racist pictures (proported to be from Tea Parties) on the NAACP website and they were awful. I do not know if the protestors (with racially charged signs) were in fact part of the Tea Party movement, but if so they must be condemned. and I condemn all forms of…
