Cowards and sellout in the pulpits.

I take my Christianity very seriously but  when I see Pastors in the pulpits of America being paid to sway their congregations to vote for the party who paid them I become angry. To me these are not only sellouts but they are cowards in the literal sense. I do not like cowards of any color or nationality. A Godly trust has been put into the hands of preachers to be upright in all they do and say. The scriptures tell us to buy the truth and sell it not, yet many black Pastors are paid to…See More

I serve on the board of the Richmond Tea Party in Virginia. I am supprised at the number of blacks who tell me that they support the Tea Party but cannot not do so openly. My question then is why?

It is fear (false evidence appearing real) that halts them, while we should be motivated by FAITH (Feeling as if things happened) and having FAITH (having Full Assurance InThe Heart). A respected mentor of mine has described faith as belief in truth and putting that truth in action. We fight this war together my friend. Truth always prevails.

Hi Gilbert,
I saw your last msg and I know this is wishful thinking, but you did not mean Richmond, CA.?;-)
That is only 15 min from me and here conservative Blacks are as rare as finding gold in the dry creek bed.
Take care.

Hi Gilbert,
Thanks for the update. I have been to busy running my campaign. Tuesday was the election and I did not prevail. In the end it appears that even the Tea-party sympathizers did not care enough to support the conservative candidates by: GOTV efforts, just VOTE, or financially.
In my case, it was the lack of funds, that caused me not to purchase/pay for a ballet statement in the 2 counties of my district.
A word of advice to all future candidates, "MAKE IT A REQUIREMENT JUST AS PAYING THE REGISTRATION FEE" is to get on the ballet. Best of luck to those who still have a race to win.
