President Obama attending the House Republican retreat in Baltimore is a first step in listening to Americans and true bi-partisanship.
Obama should continue the exchange with the Republicans just like “Prime Minister’s Questions” in British Parliament, LIVE every Wednesday 7 AM (afternoon their time) ON CSPAN.
This can be once a month – alternating the House and the Senate Republicans.
Then Obama may know what the PEOPLE want and govern as THE REPRESENTATIVE… Continue
Friends and Fellow Americans:
On the 27th of January, 2010, the 44th President of the United States delivered his “State of the Union” address to an assembled Congress and invited guests. Here’s the reality of what should have been addressed, as opposed to re-election campaign speech we were given.
Mr. President, Members of the assembled Congress, and honored guests:
President Obama, you made an inspiring opening comment – “One year ago, I took office amid two… Continue

I was wrong about Nora not getting it and I have learned something valuable lesson from communicating with Nora.
See if you will too.
{"You are starting to peak my interest. I may not agree with many of your view points, but you are willing to take time with me. At this point I will encourage others to look at your platform. You have taken the time to hear my concerns and respond. This is so much more than other politicians seem to be interested in doing.Thank you for caring.… Continue

The pre-occupation of trying to guess what "O" will say in the SOTU appears to me to be a mission of futility. One has to assume that he's a traditional politician with only the traditional goal of self advancement ..AND HE'S NOT!!!
EVERYTHING he says and does is from a playbook we are recently becoming aware of.
Some modern day Americans, especially those who were sucked into the Obama vacuum are easily swayed by the devious smile of our first black President and they will most… Continue

The most important question I can answer for you is why I am a candidate for the United States Senate for Maryland in 2010.
I am running because our present leadership has forgotten what true service (to our fellow citizens) is. Moreover, it is time to move forward and use the principles of:
1. Fiscal Responsibility;
2. Building a solid, Family-friendly, AMERICAN Economy;
3. Strong National Defense;
4. Traditional Family Values, and upholding their… Continue
I just confirmed with the Secreatary of State (916 657-2166) that they have received the necessary letter from the State Republican Party. They'll post it on their website later today. The primary is now open, which means Decline To State can vote in the Republican Primary.
Thanks to Jim Tsakanikas of ICaucus for this.

Republicans can win the midterm elections. Two pollsters show the way.
By Glen Bolger and Neil Newhouse
Sunday, January 24, 2010; B01
After stinging defeats in the 2006 midterms and the 2008 presidential election, we Republicans were supposedly condemned to a lengthy penance in the political wilderness, searching for our souls and groping for big ideas to rival the new Democratic juggernaut.
Hello Nora,
Thanks for taking the time to read my campaign platform.
You did not indicate if you are a CD-7 constituent, but it does not matter; my answer would be the same anyway.
Let me begin by pointing out that a candidate must stand for his/her own believes and convictions prior to the decision to run for office.
You are asking me to do exactly what you accuse president Barrack Hussein Obama of doing, i.e. not keeping his campaign promises.
Well, you and I… Continue

Last year Michael Steele upset the Republican establishment as the first outsider in a generation to win election as Chairman of the Republican National Committee. Massive forces were aligned against Steele, but the harsh lessons of wholesale Republican repudiations of 2006 and 2008 helped propel Michael's message.
Don’t think for a moment they will let up…this was merely the opening salvo in a protracted battle in an ideological war.
Notice the spin.."discontent with the pace of change"..
FROM THE ENEMY CAMP....
Yesterday's disappointing election results show deep discontent with the pace of change. I know the OFA community and the President share that frustration.
There is a young, Black conservative named Afrocity Brown who has her own blog and who I am a Facebook friend of, she posed a question the other day, "Are mothers more necessary than fathers to children?" Everyone overwhelmingly said that both mothers and fathers are necessary to bring up a child right. Of course, there is always one in the crowd who had to spout off about how gays and lesbians are just wonderful parents and all single mothers need is some support and their children will be… Continue

Let's stop giving hate mongers like Rush Limbaugh's and Pat Robertson the one thing they crave. Attention!
This past week both Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh made hateful comments concerning the earthquake in Haiti. Comments that wont be reprinted here because of their despicable nature.
This topic may infuriate many of my fellow blacks. I am talking about black monolithic thinking and black racism.
Black actor Michael Clarke Duncan is probably best known for his brilliant performance in the movie “The Green Mile”. I watched a Steve Harvey special on BET (Black Entertainment Television). Harvey was on stage in a hall filled with a mostly black audience. He criticized Duncan for playing an ape in the 2001 “Planet of the Apes” movie. Harvey said that Duncan playing… Continue
The national discussion on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s racially charged comments about then-Senator Barack Obama is still going, but I chose to wait and think about it before publishing my thoughts.
I’m currently writing a book on race in America from the perspective of a conservative who happens to be black, and Reid’s comments dovetailed… Continue
During the presidential campaign, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Barack Obama would be a good candidate because he was "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one". Since the exposure of his racist comment, Reid has been running around apologizing to every black in America.
The elephant in the living room of the controversy that everyone seems to be ignoring is Reid's horrific slap in the face of white America. In essence Reid believes, "most… Continue

Queen Mother Moore said 33 years ago at Boston College, my alma mater "in Spanish "negro" means black and in English the prefix "ne" means "no" therefore if you call yourself a "Negro" you are a "NO GROW." My race is Black. My Ethnicity is African, because slavery stole my "tribe identification." Thus, for Harry Reid to still use "Negro" demonstrates his old school idea that we as African-Americans or Blacks are not "equal" to White Americans.
Liberals Like Reid views black Democrats as useful idiots who are inferior to him. Terms like"Negro Dialect" lets me further that hes a throwback Dixiecrat. Who uses social programs to buy his modern day slaves. I personally am not letting this go so easily. If your a African American with one once of pride your not going to let it go either, its extremely offensive and condescending. I challenge anyone who reads this to bring it up casually in a public area at the store maybe even on the job.… Continue

The libertarian-conservative Republican in Aurora, Colo., who is running for the U.S. Congress, has made a statement: "“When someone like Reid can insinuate that one group of Americans has a substandard dialect in comparison to the rest of the country, that’s alarming and, frankly, disturbing,” said Frazier. “This isn’t a Republican or Democrat issue, it’s an American issue, and much broader than being about President Obama. When I first… Continue

So now we must ask ourselves,” where do we go from here?” I am referring to this week’s recent discourse, surrounding Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s uncalled for remarks about President Barrack Obama’s “light skin” and “non-Negro” dialect as being acceptable qualities to whites and, therefore, validating white support as Barrack Obama sought the presidency. Very odd is the conspicuous silence of the Congressional Black Caucus regarding this… Continue
