I'm Tim Washington. I've sold dope. I've used dope. I've shot people. I've also realized nobody was to blame for this but me! God turned me around and I want to do the same with the Black community, but we've got to STOP BLAMING THE WHITE MAN AND TAKE A STAND against our crime rate!

We're terrorists against our own selves. Our parents don't parent. Our youth are running wild and all our civil rights groups can do is march up and down Canal St talking about the " White man this & the White Man that!!!... "

I'm tired of blaming other people for our problems.

I own Crescent City Seafood at 1104 Canal St. between Elk Place and Rampart St. Picture it: drug dealers; thugs and loiterers were all you see there- until I took a stand.

After asking dealers to leave from in front of my business I'd confront them with 911 on the phone and describe them for police!!!!!! Yes I've even fought a few of them but I'm an Army Reserve vet and street fighter; what am I supposed to do when I want a family friendly establishment, say " Pretty please? " to thugs and crackheads?

I'm not blaming the White Man for the Black murder rate or anything else. I've got some friends who feel the same and all we want is a chance for our side of the story to be heard.

Brothers Against Crime is what god wants us to be- instead of blamers ignoring killers around us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Council woman-at-large ( elect ) Stacy Head has been very helpful to me and I wanted to openly thank her for all she's done! I haven't met them but I support New Orleans Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas and Mayor Mitch Landreiu- give them a chance instead of always complaining!

Too often we blame White politicians instead of giving good ones credit when credit is due!
